Everything You Need to Know About How to Charter a Private Jet

October 10, 2020 / by Andrew / Leave a Comment

Are you looking to fly to your event in style? Private jet services are not just for the rich and famous.

Chartering a private jet is not as big of a headache as it might seem. If you have ever wondered about the best way to charter a private jet, you came to the right place!

We can help you take the stress out of flying in style. We know everything about flying in private luxury. Let us show you how to charter a private jet.

1. Call an Operator or Brokerage

There are two different types of private jet companies. Operators fly and maintain different aircraft. Brokerages act as an intermediary between a customer and a jet operator. Know which type of company you prefer to work with by reading customer reviews!

Do your research! Know what questions to ask when you speak to a representative. Consider types of jets, pricing, scheduling, and size. When you are specific about your flight needs, it is easier for a company to quote you a price.

On-demand charter is great for one-time private charters, while membership-based programs are great for frequent fliers.

2. Find the Right Aircraft

What aircraft best suits your needs? Are you flying alone or with a large party.

If you are flying a single trip on your own, consider joining an empty-leg list to save some money. However, if you are flying with friends or a lot of luggage, it is best to charter your own flight.

Finding the right aircraft often depends on your budget. What planes are available, at what time, at what cost?  Giving a budget to your representative will help determine what planes are best for your trip.

3. Customize Your Trip

Consider what type of aircraft best suits your needs, then think about the fun stuff.

What amenities do you need for your trip? Do you want WiFi, champagne, cold drinks, and delicious snacks?

Private jets have a range of amenities that you can choose from. Some great options include meeting lounges, bedrooms, flight attendants, food delivery, and in-flight music.

Do not forget, special requests do come with a price tag!

4. Book Your Trip

Once you give all your information and customizations to the representative, it is time to book your charter flight!

Your representative will send you a contract detailing your requests, the type of aircraft, and delay or cancellation policies. Payment is often completed through wire transfer, though many companies are happy to accept cash or credit cards.

Remember, private jet charters must usually be booked with 24 hours notice.

5. Your Flight Day

Your representative will give you a flight itinerary a few hours before a flight. The information on an itinerary will include the jet tail number, the departure facility, and the departure time.

Expect a normal plane check-in experience, but better! Relax in the airplane’s galley before your flight.

Finally, do not forget to sit back, relax, and enjoy your luxury jet experience. For more information about enjoying your private charter experience, visit AssistAnt Global Travel Concierge.
