6 Reasons Why You Need A Quiet And Compact Generator

July 13, 2020 / by Andrew / Leave a Comment

A compact generator provides peace of mind in the event you find yourself without power. While there are some people who unplug on purpose, most of us don’t relish the idea of going for an extended period of time without modern conveniences. Few would disagree with the fact that as a culture, we have become very dependant on our cell phone, tablet, air conditioner, and TV.

1. Provides inexpensive and convenient backup when the power goes out

It is all too common for the power to go out unexpectedly. Unfortunately, it is impossible to insulate your family from unavoidable power outages caused by bad weather, equipment failures, and fallen trees. While momentary interruptions aren’t too bad, many outages last longer than a few brief moments.

A quiet and compact generator saves the day for home outages lasting longer than a few minutes. Check out Honda Generator Place for high-quality compact generators that are quiet enough for home use. Being prepared with a backup generator makes these inconvenient power interruptions nothing more than a minor setback.

2. Motorhome use

Try as you might to stay hooked up to electricity when traveling in a motorhome, there will be times you may be off the grid. Vacationers often select a motorhome over tent camping because they want to enjoy some of the niceties in life without having to rough it so much. By having a portable and quiet generator on hand, you don’t have to worry about finding a place to hook up every day.

Not being tethered to electricity also allows you to travel farther off the beaten path. True adventure can be 24 or 48 hours away from civilization as you know it. Your backup generator makes this type of travel possible.

3. Boating

There is a favorite joke shared by boat owners about the best day and the worst day of a boat owner’s life being the day you buy the boat, and the day you sell it. That’s because boats need a lot of maintenance.

Like a motorhome, boating can take you out of reach of electricity. That’s why a compact generator that is quiet enough to fit into the limited space on a boat without being intrusive is such an asset.

Depending on where your travels take you, having the ability to power up certain communication and safety tools can be invaluable. When you are out on the open water and you get stranded with mechanical problems in intense heat or cold, having your air conditioner or heater operational can be very important. Considering how inexpensive portable generators are today, there is no reason to go boating without this extra security.

4. Camping

There is camping, and there is glamping. Many campers would not dream of truly “roughing it” when it is so easy to enjoy some of the modern conveniences that we have all come to expect.

If you want to hike and camp in areas off the grid and away from your car, you will need a generator to charge up your phone so that you have a lifeline to get help if you need it. Considering the compact size of many models, there is no good reason to put yourself at risk when you can avoid it.

5. A portable generator can be used as needed for a variety of purposes.

One of the most practical reasons to buy a compact generator is so you can use it for all of the purposes above. If you are a person or family on the go who likes to venture out into nature, then you can buy one compact generator and take it with you whenever you travel by boat or motorhome.

You can also keep it at home with you and use it for backup. This type of versatility definitely justifies the purchase of a single generator that can be used often.

6. Disaster Relief

Natural disasters are not always avoidable. If you lose power due to a hurricane, flood, or tornado, or for some other emergency situation, you will be glad you have a generator to ride out the emergency with electricity. Being prepared for an emergency makes good sense.
