no you're my only hope.

Dear Rev. Rakus,
I request for your advice.
There are so many festivals in my country this summer. And each and every
one of them has a major flaw: the lineup sucks! Ok, that might be a little
too harsh - some are really trying, but not enough to convince me.
For example, there is this Taubertal-Festival (
http://www.taubertal-openair.de - you've already been there, haven't you? )
that is sold out at the end of february every year. The lineup is not bad,
but it just doesn't rock...
Of course there are some great bands out there, who could turn this (or any
other) festival into the most awesome party '06 (like they did at the Rock
am Ring '03)... but do they want to?
I have to make a decision and i suck at divination. So I seek your counsel
Rev. Rakus.
Please help me, you're my only hope...

dear european.........I'm not really sure what kind of answer you're looking for.........Festivals are real expensive in europe..personally I would find it hard to buy a ticket...but then again..I never go to shows anymore except on tour..............so-----I would just pick one that you would really like to go to...and save your money.......rock am ring 2003 was a lot of fun.......some rain..but me and josh went to some club and danced and drank..........met some good friends that night........so.........in reality don't spend all your money on a fest and come see every one of our march tour shows instead...does that work...yours chris rakus-keep your head up son...........sorry took so long to post..thanks-

why don't you drive up to belgium for groezrock? (www.groezrock.be) probably the best festival in europe and rather cheap....if you like camping at the end of april on a muddy meadow in rainy northern belgium.

or go to with full force. lots of metal there but still a lot of good punkrock/HC-acts. (including boysetsfire ;) )

I agree! The groezrock-festival should be fun and is not that expensive... 52€ for both days...
Or what about the hurricane? There are so many cool festivals...

Hurricane/Southside is for my taste
too expensive
too big and with
too many shitty bands... only decent band in the line-up so far are lagwagon and i hope they'll do some club shows!

Whatever. Wait for the complete line-up. ;) And it's not as expensive as other festivals (e.g. Rock am Ring).
But anyway: everybody has got another opinion about that. It was just an advice... I like that festival...

descision is getting even harder now.... millencolin play on taubertal... now that festival somehow starts to rock! millencolin+donots is quite cool. but is it worth 65€?? i'm not sure....
