It looks like all the problems are now ironed out and Amazon is shipping worldwide now.

Can you test it on a friends DVD and see if it doesn't work there too? Might be a problem with that specific DVD, because I think other people's PAL versions are working. Hopefully you can just exchange it for one that works!
