It is 4:30 am and we are just getting ready to hit the road from northern Michigan to catch your last shows. Should be a splendid time indeed (outside of the 12 hour drive).....

I agree, the energy from the band and the crowd was amazing tonight....WOW
Stupid idiot jumping from the balcony onto unexpecting people...
Posted by: Joe at June 10, 2007 01:37 AM
Great show...beside the cliff jumpers. This one obviously had a little more energy than most BSF shows that I went to over the past 3 years. Good luck in your futures guys...you will be missed but always in our hearts.
Posted by: GC at June 10, 2007 01:52 AM
That probably was the best crowd I've been in, the entire experience was just fantastic, even when I was ninja kicked in the face by a crowd surfer during "rookie", I was having fun.
I gotta say though, that balcony jumper could run pretty fast through a crowd... it just wasn't nearly fast enough.

Yeah last night's show was CRAZY! I wish people did a little less moshing and pushing but I guess that's how it goes. Besides that I had a great time and so are two of my friends. Thanks for everything and goodluck.
Posted by: Mikhail at June 10, 2007 09:08 AM
Thank you for everything, BSF. You guys will truly be missed! Good luck in your futures!

Tons of photos (including one of BSF's setlist) are up on my photography page -- http://www.myspace.com/colorsofinsomnia
BSF, you will be missed. Shit was off the hook last night. Totally worth the eight-hour drive from Cleveland and back as soon as the show ended. Who needs sleep?
Posted by: Scott at June 10, 2007 06:53 PM
Wow, Scott, thank you so much. The videos especially are amazing.
Guys, I swear I almost teared up watching you play Vehicle and Rookie for the last time. I will miss you!
Posted by: Kelly at June 10, 2007 11:35 PM
Thank you so much, BSF. I honestly don't know where I'd be right now had it not been for your music. The last show was amazing. Nathan, thanks for letting my fiance' and I get a picture with you and not being freaked out the many times I've screamed your name while I saw you walking down Main St. in Newark. Rob, you made one of the greatest moments of my life when, at the Seaford, DE show, you had me scream the words with you in your mic. And Chad, you made me so nervous when on my first day of work a few years ago you came up to me with your daughters and asked for an item I had no idea of. I held back tears the entire show. Your music means the world to me and I love you.
"Hope Never Dies"

Because I write everything down... here's the setlist from the final show:
Release the Dogs
Pure
Cavity
Walk Astray
My Life in the Knife Trade
Requiem
Twelve Step Hammer Program
With Every Intention
10 and Counting
Still Waiting for the Punchline
With Cold Eyes
Final Communique
Empire
The Power Remains the Same
Falling Out Theme
Handful of Redemption
So Long and Thanks for the Crutches
Force Majuere
Vehicle
Rookie
After the Eulogy
Then after about 10 minutes of being off stage they decided to come back on and play
Hometown Report Card .
I can't believe it's over. I really think it's such a shame, obviously this band is so well loved. I mean people traveled from Europe, West Coast, Canada, everywhere just to prove their love for you. I understand band politics, struggles with money, and all that.. I know too well. However, I have never seen a band as respected and admired as Boysetsfire. I have never met anyone as passionate about a band as I have the fans of this one. The whole world may not be BSF fans, but the fans you do have don't compare to any other fans of bands that I have met.
RIP to the only band with a true message and meaning to every aspect of my little life. I had a great time, and will still hear your words everday. You nagger.
Posted by: justme at June 11, 2007 01:30 PM
thanks vor that setlist... looks like all the songs they played different times in europe, except of "fashion as a weapon". why did they leave the stage and then come back for "hometown report card"? i thought they hate encores. and why exactly that song?
Posted by: SparkInTheNight at June 11, 2007 02:06 PM
None of there friends got off stage and after a few people started a "One More Song" chant we were encouraged by those on stage. So After about 7 minutes or so they came out.
Nathan explained how they really played everything, and hat encores. But if we really wanted to hear one more song, we could even if in his words, it wouldn't be that good.
So after about 5 minutes of deliberation and a tease of "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith. They went out with Hometown Report Card.
Thanks guys. You are loved and will be missed.

@justme: Well put! Echo that!
Let's hope for a reunion show in 5+ years ;-)

The show on Sat was by far the best show i've ever seen. Definitely worth the drive. The guy who jumped the Balcony did he land on anyone? I only caught it out of the corner of my eye. But he was kicking so hard as the bouncers were draging him out. He had to have know they were going to kick him out.

I think boysetsfire will always be remembered as one of the only true bands. I get Ap and i was shocked that this crying this screaming my voice is being born EP made and editors 12 albums that changed the way i see music List.
Boy sets fire changed the whole Genre and i can never thank them enough for their contributions toward hxc emo screamo etc.
Boy sets fire changed the way i saw music. I can't believe they are done. I cant wait for the DVD's.
I wish i could of attended the show but being poor and liveing in VIrginia puts a strain on long travels so My best wishes to all of you futures and i hope to see the casting out play dc/richmond/md

Wow that show on sat. was the most incredible thing ive seen, sad for boysetsfire but looking forward to the casting out, best wishes.

The first time the guy jumped (i assume it was the same person the 2nd time too, i dunno what other asshole would do it twice) he did land on some guy and for a while after the dude was moving his head around and holding his neck. The 2nd time he did it I was too busy yelling, "kick his fucking ass" to notice who he landed on. Such an idiot...
Posted by: Joe at June 11, 2007 09:57 PM
BTW....when is this dvd coming out??

"I get Ap and i was shocked that this crying this screaming my voice is being born EP made and editors 12 albums that changed the way i see music List."
Ha, that's me, I wrote that list. Seriously, that EP blew my 15-year-old mind. I had never heard anything like what I heard when I first pressed play and "Vehicle" came on.
Posted by: Scott at June 11, 2007 10:42 PM
this dvd will come out before the europe one. Hopefully sometime around the fall / late summer.
Posted by: jason at June 12, 2007 12:02 AM
Well, it has finally sunk in...no more BSF. Thank you for the years of inspiration, activism, and energy for change. You were a band outside of your time...it is too bad that injustice continues unabated and the power remains the same. I wish all the members of the band and all the people who were there for the ride the best of luck. The message of peace will always continue.
Thank you Scott for the pictures and video and thanks to you justme for the set list. I wish I could have been there in person; not just in spirit.
Your friend,
Robert from NV
