@"me":
They had different setlists, but they played the following songs at Saarbrücken...
01. Release the Dogs
02. Pure
03. Cavity
04. Walk Astray
05. My Life In the Knife Trade
06. Requiem
07. Twelve Step Hammer Program
08. Still Waiting For the Punchline
09. With Cold Eyes
10. Final Communique
11. Empire
12. Falling Out Theme
13. Handful of Redemption
14. So Long... And Thanks For the Crutches
15. The Force Majeure
16. Rookie
17. After the Eulogy
They also played "Fashion As A Weapon", "Vehicle", "With Every Intention", "(10) And Counting" and probably some more at other shows... But the 'classics' stayed!
Posted by: SparkInTheNight at May 22, 2007 08:09 AM
in vienna it the list was the same, i think after 12 step hammer programm they played 3 acoustic songs: fashion as a weapon, with every intention(really nice!!) and a short version of (10) and counting
it was fanstastic and a worth goodbye!
Posted by: mat at May 22, 2007 10:12 AM
About the same in Amsterdam, though they didnt play walk astray and played the power remains the same instead.
Posted by: E at May 22, 2007 01:04 PM
thanks for the overseas set list...i have 3 friends coming with me from vegas to philly for the last to shows who arent familiar with boysetsfire as i am...so i want to get them used to the songs that they will most likely play.

to "MR. WELL BEHAVED" (ZURICH):
guess you´ve a good taste of beer as well...i fucked it up to say bye, you´ve said angel
so send a kiss to you on these term, but just a little one, cause i´m well behaved too...haha... and i understand your situation, i really do...you´re so special...hope to see you again one day, anyplace, anytime
damnit that´s so kitchy, i should feel awful about it...hmm, but i don´t give a fuck
Posted by: A. at May 22, 2007 07:38 PM
Thank you so much for this bittersweet farewell in Zurich. It's weird but at this very last show i realized why i started seven years ago to love so much going to live gigs.
To be honest the gig in lucerne 2006 sucked and wasn't a dignified last show. There was something missing...
But the show in Zurich made it all up! It wasn't just listen to the songs the last time, you could feel them! It was overwhelming! Thank you for leaving us such a great last memory of yours. Your music will always have a place in my heart!
Posted by: sookie, zurich at May 23, 2007 12:34 AM
They did play walk astray in amsterdam. Don't you remember the sing-a-long?
Posted by: J at May 23, 2007 10:34 AM
it was amazing, tree days in germany saarbrucken, liebzig, en hamburg.
saarbrucken was such a big show, the securite wont let us in, thank nathan to help us, and nadine of how is that tour managers girl calling ;)(it was nice to help us)
Actualy when we were leaving the saarbrucken show i put my middle finger out to the securite who wouldn't let us in, and a half a second later, there was a fist in my face, people like them need protect us, where they bad motorbikers or what.
that night was a drunk night, nice pubs in the neighbour, and nice bar girls, i don't know whow the place was called, but i'm sure that girl is not reading this forum, the speciality of the house was thea se said ;), and she never made an irish coffee, she was so not hardcore, mmm i like it.
than the day after, conne island, when we were driving to that show we tought the adres was wrong cause we only saw a wall with grafitti, but later that night we know that it was right, what a cool place, a skatepark, nice easy people, food and drink places, and the shows begun when it was dark, this place was perfect, this show i didn't go on front cause of the drinks the night before, but right now i wish i was, cause those people were kicking so much ass, an amazing show at a perfect place.we met josh too short
the day after the hamburg show, what a strange place was this, something from WW1 or WW2.
Hamburg is a cool time, my first time there, like america but little, and with strange german people hehehehehe
so the last how, the room was full, before the show it was allready hot as hell, but during the show it was killing, this was the last time i song "my life is full of your inspiration", ATE was amazing everybody was on stage, i was diving, and a few people did the same, but i was the first so there were like 10 people on me, but i'm still alive, and i caught a last drumstick.
This was the first time i did something like this it was 2200 km driving, but what can i say, if i didn't do this i would regret it my hole life, it was a thing to never forget.
i thank josh to put me on the guestlist (3 times a wrong name ;)), nathan and chad(in belguim) to help us in, and everybody else even de merch guy who didn't give back the rest of my money in belguim.
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for playing that amazing show in Leipzig! When are you in Berlin?
Posted by: bascht at May 23, 2007 08:50 PM
The 24 hour trip from Edinburgh, Scotland to Hamburg was well worth it. I cannot express how amazing the show was. I have to say that the atmosphere made it the best gig of my life so far without any contest.
Empire, My Life in the Knife Trade and After The Eulogy were absolutely immense and I still get hairs standing up on the back of my neck just thinking about it.
Thanks BSF and good luck with whatever you do in the future.
Roll on the DVDs!!
Much love and respect: Kerry

a very big THANK YOU for the show in leipzig...there's nothing more I can say, because words can't express what your music means to me
Posted by: Janni at May 28, 2007 11:01 PM
if by "nothing" you mean filled a quarter of the way with Nathan's piss, then you're correct.
Posted by: j at May 28, 2007 11:15 PM
i germany during the show they give us water to, i hope that was "clean" hehehe, i was glas that they gave us that.
why is the burning heart version of the last cd so beautefuil, and the american version, so ugly, was it that expensive to use the same paper as burning heart. hehhehehehehe
equal vision didn't do a good job, if you put out the book, it looks like a cheap piece of shit.(but the music is great on both hehehehehe)
boys play a nice show(s) this weekend, i wish i could be there for the last time, i'm sure it's gonna be one of the greatest shows ever. and do an encore for those people, like in hope or something, and maybe "Eviction Article" and "White Wedding Dress".
i see you with other projects, but your music and words i never gonna forget.
thank you

Boy Sets Fire will be missed, but I am glad that they have chosen to leave on a high note and with dignity. They have had to go through such tragedy recently. It is nice that they will all be in good health for their final show. I wish them the best of luck and hope all the fans there have an amazing time!
The message will live on.

About the bottle in Amsterdam: I actually have a picture of Nathan preparing for "the filling of the bottle" and also one a bit later were he has a proud smile whilst holding the bottle, probably already anticipating the outcome of this little joke...
On another note: are there any other crazy Europeans who are going to cross the ocean to see BSF's last shows? I for sure am going, so we could maybe meet up in Philly, share a hotel-room,...?
Posted by: bopie at May 29, 2007 07:43 PM
I got tickets for both shows, got my flight ticket and got a room at the Hampton, but sadly I think I won't be able to go. It breaks my heart. :( And I'm down 650 bucks.

beste bopie,
Posted by: david arickx at June 1, 2007 09:34 AM
tape the show well ;)
and boysetsfire play like it's your last show ;)))))
and josh make some jokes for the dvd.
and nathan some freedom talk please, in germany you only did it in conne island, but it was beautiful.

I was looking forward to hanging out with some of you guys and having a good time at the boysetsfire show, but now it looks like that won't be happening...I am both disappointed, angry and sad at the same time...the most talked about show of the year, and I won't be a part of it.
Sooo... you guys have fun, (I am so jealous of you fucks) and don't accept any bottled water from Nathan. ;)
I guess I will just have to wait for the DVD to come out. Although it won't be the same as actually being there.
Peace and love.
