Update From Robert
Dear friends.
First up i wanted to thank Josh, not only for being an amazing human being in my life, but also for sharing his moving story with you and me, which really made me believe in god, lessons of life and josh's inner strenght even more than before...so thank you josh!
A lot of people have been asking how things are with me over here in germany (and yes, i deleted my myspace account cause i got sick of it...big deal!haha) and i just wanted to tell all of you that i am indeed alive and well...here are some of the things i have been doing:
- i wrote the foreword to the german translation of a book called "dance of days" about the dc independent scene. the german version is called "PUNK, DC" written by andersen/jenkins
- i wrote a tour diary about our last tour in europe, which has just been released in the new music magazin FUZE (look for issue number 1 for the diary)
- i started a production team here in munich with two friends. can't say much about it yet other than it's popular music, hip-hop and r'n'b...creating beats and samples has opened a new world to this young hardcore fan.
- i will possibly start boxing next week for a club here in munich-east
- i help my dad build a house and stand knee-deep in mud a lot since i moved back to the dirty 089
- i am patiently waiting for mr nathan to finally put a picture on his new myspace account for GIMME SHELTER (his great new band...i heard the first rough ideas and they are amazing!)
...so far so good. i can't wait to play the last show(s), can't wait to have many drinks with my brothers states-side (namely chad, nathan, josh and matt) and overall i'm really happy to be back in the city i was born in. full stop.
peace.

Servus!

haha you made me laugh =)
can't wait to see you one last time togehter... maybe you could do a concert in the "underground" again??this was the best concert of all the time for me...
Posted by: Anonymous at December 3, 2006 10:56 AM
the "underground"-show was the best....
Posted by: Anonymous at December 3, 2006 11:35 AM
nathan slaps like a girl.............that's right bring it.
Posted by: rakus at December 3, 2006 02:20 PM
I'm really happy to see you updating, it's nice to be kept up to date. :) The production team sounds really exciting, especially given the unexpected genres. Also, Myspace is for skanky teenagers so good for you; that said, how ever will we stalk you now?
And don't forget to let us know the show dates waaay in advance so I can get time off work! I'm in St. Pete Florida and am probably going to have to travel a bit.

Hey, isn´t it mandatory to play one last show in munich your hometown, all the best
Posted by: k. at December 5, 2006 11:50 AM
thx for keeping us updated.
oh and i second that suggestion to play one last time in europe =) maybe in germany?
good night and good luck
Posted by: Ste at December 5, 2006 01:01 PM
Hi,
Thanks for the updates. I'm really glad to hear you are all doing well.
As for the possible european gigs, i'd have to add another suggestion.
Rheinkultur Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2007 and they plan to put up a lineup solely out of bands that already have been there. That qualifies you aswell :D
What makes it almost perfect is that it is for free and theres room for over 100k people so everyone would get the chance to see you, noone could be disappointed because it was sold out.
best

the best thing on this page is the comment from rakus saying nathan slaps like a girl.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 5, 2006 05:08 PM

i still don't know the reason of the break up, what is the reason.
free show, cool, maybe you could do a last for free tour. a secret tour, that would be great, but it's a dream not, in hope eh.
Posted by: arickx david at December 6, 2006 02:27 PM
we still firmly believe that nathans band should be called old man gray.

Servus!
Posted by: Betsy at December 7, 2006 05:42 AM
geil means horney in belguim, what is it in deutch.
Posted by: david arickx at December 7, 2006 11:37 AM
Ach ne....würde euch soooo gerne nochmal live sehen.
machts gut
Nanni
Posted by: Nanni at December 7, 2006 04:08 PM
Geil means horney in German too. But you can also say it if something is fucking great. Probably the great concert made her horney
Posted by: Jule at December 8, 2006 04:51 AM
please please please....one last journey to europe to do some touring...perhaps one show in germany in germany. it would be great. I'd like to see you guys reunited one last time...
wish the best to you guys
Posted by: partisan at December 8, 2006 08:47 AM
So Geil means horny. Is the J Geils Band the J Horny Band in Germany?
Posted by: Beguiled at December 9, 2006 01:34 AM
i'd die for seing you playing your best songs live for one last time!
rock am see festival was great, but 40 minutes were definitely too short... and most of the crowd didn't know any of your songs =)
Posted by: tammta at December 9, 2006 06:09 AM
If you can go back to europe for the fourth tour on the misery index, you can always come down to AUSTRALIA for a farewell show or two :D
Posted by: scott at December 10, 2006 08:18 PM
thats if the farewell shows are more then just america :)
Posted by: Scott at December 10, 2006 08:20 PM
Last show? well, this fucking sucks! I haven't had the chance to check out BSF play since "After the eulogy" had come out-which, by the way was awesome! Although, I had the honor of meeting Nathan last year while I was working in Delaware for T-mobile-He's kick ass!!! anyway, I just hope you know that Bsf has inspired many lives, especially mine! You will always have a fan out here to support all of you in all your desicions. Please play the ny/nj area b4 any break-ups are offical!!!

saterday there was the alexisonfire show 4th time that i see those guys, and you know they remind me of you guys, before the farwell shows, i saw 2 farwell shows and it was not like before, probebly it was josh but.
there was a distro and they had the special edition of tommorow come today, so now i have the album 2 times, but i have the dvd, and you know it's one of the beste dvd's that i have seen.
that show is strange there are so many people, there is security, not like a belguim show.and the people are standing in rows to come inside.
strange but one thing is the same the people in front are screaming like hell, and can sing every word with you.
an nathan didn't have tatoe's in his neck,he was still white like a virgin.
Posted by: arickx david at December 11, 2006 01:54 PM
When was Nathan still a virgin?
Posted by: Anonymous at December 11, 2006 02:44 PM
he still is...........hmmm...sweet nathan virgin
Posted by: a loney puppy. at December 11, 2006 10:08 PM
Well if Nathan's a virgin than Hugh Heffner is definitely not a mack daddy
Posted by: Anonymous at December 12, 2006 04:10 PM
notice how at the end of every posting it all comes down to nathan. his sexiness is undeniable therefor virginity cannot be a factor when refering to the nathan gray.
obviously.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 13, 2006 04:06 AM
i only mean that there where no tatoe's on his neck, not that he is a virgin, just that the place where he has tatoe's now where still empty (white).
and i don't see nathan as a virgin to, i think he has a lot of girls in his bed, just cause his actions on stage ;)
by the way, my englisch is so bad, that we can't communicate very well, but i try, yehyeh emo shit.
Posted by: david arickx at December 13, 2006 06:55 AM
do we really have to explain what you ment by virgin? no humor over here?
but, yeah! nathan IS damn hot ^^
Posted by: Isa at December 13, 2006 12:09 PM
continue the balloon affect to nathans head. yeah because he needs it.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 13, 2006 03:08 PM
ok guys, I've written a song and yeah some is kinda stolen and yeah some lines sound like bsf but hey.. they're great... so here're the lyrics and you might like it. i have a friend (i love u dustin) and hopefully he'll use it for a song of his band calles infest. anyway tell me what u think about it people
Companion in distress
A few more years from now
Its all good for them
But its all over tonight
The grief inundates the city
The Companions will pay
Whatever you fucking deserve
I’ve seen quite enough of
When have we forsaken love?
And became such ignorant
When have we lost it all?
Can we ever be done screaming?
I’ve seen quite enough of
When have we forsaken love?
And became such ignorant
Have we honestly lost it all?
Can we ever be done screaming?
The Companions will pay
Whatever you fucking deserve
Even in Silence
Our hearts scream for revolution
i hope not too many english language mistakes
take care you all
Posted by: alex at December 15, 2006 03:20 PM
that is not like a BSF song, it's even not coming close to one of the masterpieces they made, but every body deserve a second change, so make another song. ;).
can we hear songs of the band? post a link.
Posted by: arickx david at December 15, 2006 03:56 PM
yeah here'sthe link but they dont sound like bsf anyway... but its in our hearts and thans for being honest...
good anyway or not worth it?

Hey Jungs,
Rock on...

Dear Rob,
I am quite interested in reading your tour diary. But I couldn't get Fuze magazine in this stinky little Scheißkaff...can I also find your article in the internet?
Posted by: Carole at December 21, 2006 04:42 PM
Hey Josh, I know you are friends with my roomates sister, Becka Libman. Her brother and I, (Jay is her bro and he is who introduced me to you guys), we have you in our hearts. We had a chance to meet you guys and party once in LA but couldnt make it. Perhaps we will all meet again one day. Till then, thanks for dedicating your time to a cause that will not be forgotten. You're an amazing guitarist and stand as a role model for many...Jay and I were very sad to hear about your accident but everything happens for some reason...through the darkest moments come irreplaceable gifts/lessons. We will be sending our energy your way...all the best-
Jay, and Rachel

God. I know it was time, but I miss you guys. I went to every single show you had in SLC except the last one because I had work. If I wouldve known it was your final tour I would of stopped everything. My biggest regret in life :( not goin

Posted by: Sam at January 19, 2007 12:12 PM
yo i'm just readin up on the band we all love so much and just felt i should give some feedback and say that your music inspired me to a)take Deutsch, and b) join/start a band. as of now i am taking german classes at my middle school and i'm having fun learning. Also i have made it known that i can sing/scream (but mainly scream) and i have a two possible gutiar players lined up that i am yet to contact but you know... okay maby you dont, but if you do than you probablly understand what its like to be in my position... well i guess thats it, later
