Any plans to tour a little? Dammit.
Posted by: Misericorde at October 29, 2006 01:59 AM
wow...finally a little ray of hope :o)
though this show´s too far away for many of us, it demonstrates that you can´t let go of music :D
great - keep it that way!

once i get a complete band together for this stuff, and a band name, cause using your own name is goofy :-) we will be touring. so far the band is just me, rob huddleston from ann beretta, and joshs sister in law darby dinatale(sorry darby if i spelled that wrong)...more stuff to come from all of us :-)
Posted by: nathanbsf at October 29, 2006 10:58 AM
I think you should definitely call it "The Nathan Gray Project" or maybe "Gray Band" Actually I don't think that at all. Either way, hopefully I'll be making it down for this.
Posted by: jack at October 29, 2006 12:12 PM
I think you should name it "Your mom's face" but that's just my suggestion.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 29, 2006 02:51 PM
uuh cool, hope you're coming to switzerland!
gotta see you again.. but please bring chad with you ;-)
you need to play twelve step hammer program for me because last time you were here i asked chad to play this song. and then on stage, nathan, you said, that the next song was twelve step hammer program. however, it wasnt!! as far as i remember it was the force majeure!
so, you owe me one!
Posted by: matt at October 29, 2006 03:11 PM
that would be cool! but hey, everybody starts from scratch, don't forget. ;]
"The Nathan Gray Project" -> TNGP -> "The Name of a Great Porn"
...just a inane thought
Posted by: gunnar at October 29, 2006 03:48 PM
are you going to be playing bsf songs, or do you have new exclusive nathan gray material??? either way, sounds exciting...
im glad you are not staying silent
silence kills the revolution
and we reallllly need revolution right now
Posted by: jay at October 29, 2006 04:32 PM
Hey Nathan
I was thinking...
Maybe you should start wearing eyeliner.. apparently it's the way to get rich and famous these days (please not the underlying sarcasm kthx)
Posted by: Anonymous at October 29, 2006 09:39 PM
no bsf songs..sorry.
Posted by: nathanbsf at October 29, 2006 11:04 PM
no bsf songs..sorry. it is a completely different band
Posted by: nathanbsf at October 29, 2006 11:05 PM
hey nathan,
it says acoustic performance on the poster.. is that just for the upcoming show or is that the direction of your new band?
Posted by: scott at October 30, 2006 05:06 AM
hey nathan,
wow, it sounds really good, i'm looking forward to your new band & songs, i'm sure it will be great!
hold us up to date!
greetings from austria,
sabs
Posted by: sabs at October 30, 2006 07:12 AM
Name the band after a Bad Religion album and song:
The gray race. :>
You say it's a completely different band. Musically and/or lyrically?
Posted by: Hellzyeah! at October 30, 2006 07:44 AM
I'm glad to hear that it is new music. Partly because I like new music, partly because it would be a little sad for you to be playing BSF music without the rest of BSF.
Posted by: voltron at October 30, 2006 08:45 AM
Wow! I´d love to see that show but unfortunately I´m from austria...
Posted by: kathy at October 30, 2006 02:24 PM

Posted by: René at October 30, 2006 03:06 PM

Posted by: randy at October 30, 2006 03:11 PM
funny enough the band will not stay acoustic. just untill we find more members :-) the more upbeat songs will be sorta in the vein of elvis costello or the clash, where as the softer ones tend to fall somewhere between the weakerthans, pedro the lion, and ryan adams.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 30, 2006 05:52 PM
Thats really cool! but im in chile, cant gfet ther...
So, i never knew why they broke up... anyone knows??
Posted by: Anonymous at October 30, 2006 11:28 PM

(first hardcore with refused and then whateveryouwannacallit with T(I)NC and the lost patrol (band).)

Thanks Matt.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2006 09:55 AM
Haha...would have seriously booked a flight if I would have seen that just two or three days earlier. Nothing I would miss in good old Switzerland this weekend, so why not go to Richmond, haha. And no, I don't have too much money, just a cheap airline.
Matt...I'm from Switzerland too. You're the guy from Luzerne who sent me the pictures, right? Next time we gonna book a flight, word?
...costello, pedro and ryan. damn.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2006 10:24 AM

How are we supposed to know who the real Nathan is? That makes me a sad panda :(

I've seen Chuck in brazil, but he was touring with his other band, ex-members of hwm...I wish I could be there to listen to some songs of two of my fave band.
Anyway, it's good to know about the news.
Hope Josh overcomes soon.
Cheers

i heart nathanbsf...the genuine
Posted by: Anonymous at November 4, 2006 02:23 AM
is there gonna come an album out of the solo stuff soon?
and if the solo stuff is not doing ok, than could it be that boy....... maybe a very stupid and arrogant question.
but is still hope....
i'm pretty shure that the asoustic stuff is ok, just like on the last boy sets fire shows.
Posted by: david arickx at November 4, 2006 09:12 AM
the show will be recorded and taped..i will then set up a myspace account, so people can watch or listen.
Posted by: nathanbsf at November 4, 2006 02:19 PM

Posted by: goodbyestar at November 4, 2006 10:21 PM

Posted by: wibbs at November 5, 2006 04:11 AM
i hope the show was great...? we need some material pls
Posted by: gunnar at November 5, 2006 03:11 PM
maybe you should consider putting things up somewhere else than myspace nathan.
sorry, but that's a place where revolution has been traded off long time ago...
Posted by: Anonymous at November 5, 2006 04:58 PM
where s that myspace account??
And It's pretty nice that you go on singing nathan!
It would be a waste not to sing anymore!
and take care with that acoustic stuff! you could chip your teeth if don't jup around like a retarded monkey anymore!

"maybe you should consider putting things up somewhere else than myspace nathan.
sorry, but that's a place where revolution has been traded off long time ago..."
when was myspace ever about the revolution?
btw -- there are times you have to use things that don't contribute to the revolution. For instance, try as I might, I couldn't find a toothpaste that supported the revolution as much as I'd like.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 7, 2006 04:09 PM
Myspace isn't about revolution for sure.
No type of revolution at all.
There are times you have to use things that don't contribute to revolution, you're right, but there are times you can choose.
Nathan & the rest of the band can actually, IMHO, choose. They don't need the myspace showcase.
Since there are a lot of other ways to put online their music, I would rather prefer them using ways different than myspace.
The comparison between toothpaste and media is funny, but nothing more, since it's media that we're talking about here, not orange juice/nail clipper/whatever, and the choice of media hasn't exactly the same weight as toothpaste...
But that's my opinion, anyway.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 7, 2006 05:51 PM
WHAT THE FUCK IS THE MATTER WITH YOU GUYS?
Posted by: revolutionshmevolution at November 7, 2006 06:52 PM
toothpaste killed the revolution.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 7, 2006 09:09 PM
OMG LOL Myspace Izn't teh media.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 7, 2006 09:50 PM
hell yes
Posted by: Anonymous at November 7, 2006 09:54 PM
Aww, I should have kept checking this more often. Would have been a fun road trip to VA and a nice show, I'm sure. I am glad to hear that Nathan is already putting together another band. I'll try to keep checking back more often in case there are updates. I don't really care how it will sound, I trust that it will be another good piece of music in whatever form it comes out. I wonder how Josh's doing and also how's the rest of the BSF guys. I hope everything is coming along well. Please post here sometimes when you get a chance because a lot of people still read this as you see.
Posted by: Mikhail at November 8, 2006 01:01 PM

Posted by: thorti at November 13, 2006 04:32 AM
that stuff on my space is strange, very strange.
i'm not shure if nathan is singing or a kid (sorry)
but it are demo's so.
and it's better to do strange things than do the same, like the most solo stuff.
and i don't find samples of the first cd
so if gimme shelter is a name that allready excist, can we find a name, can we, can we,...
Posted by: arickx david at November 13, 2006 06:39 AM
what is the name of the myspace profile???
thanks =)
can't wait to hear it...
Posted by: Anonymous at November 13, 2006 07:48 AM
Oh and it's a Rolling Stones song
"Oh, a storm is threatning
My very life today
If I dont get some shelter
Oh yeah, Im gonna fade away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Ooh, see the fire is sweepin
Our very street today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
The floods is threatning
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or Im gonna fade away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
I tell you love, sister, its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away"
Do get I bonus points for that, and am I able to move on to the next round?
Posted by: Anonymous at November 13, 2006 12:31 PM
so where did u find these demos?
Posted by: Anonymous at November 13, 2006 12:33 PM
a bit of google magic returned nothing, so i guess nathan either made sure no related keyword exists on that account or it has not been indexed jet.
The lyrics above are from 'the rolling stones - gimme shelter' but nathan said thats the name of the band, so you don't get any bonus. In fact you get an F instead because you tried to cheat ;)
ps. nathan post that link _please_
Posted by: Anonymous at November 13, 2006 05:48 PM
anonymous, you go to google you type my space and nathan gray and than hey there is a link, the easy way ;)
by the way are you from belguim or not?

Posted by: arickx david at November 14, 2006 06:33 AM

Posted by: arickx david at November 17, 2006 06:11 AM
I've heard the new stuff, that is not it. Plus, read the description on the page, it says his first album was in december of 2005, when bsf was still working on Misery Index. This dude lives in New Zealand and has a show in Dunedin on 11/22.
And look at his site. WWW.NATHANGRAY.TK
He's 8 years old.

haha, geez, this thread reads a lot different than the ones when the band broke up and then when josh fell..now its all about "me me me, come here now, put up the songs, give me all of it right now"
yikes..good luck and we'll be here when the music is released!
