Josh Is Home

Josh is home. How great is that? He moves around quite well too, when you consider that he fell from 30 feet just a little more then a month ago, broke his back and damaged his spine. He's in therapy every day and working hard to get back to health.

He has a pretty wicked metal cane too. He could really mess someone up with it if he wanted to. Not that he would.

I don't know why he hasn't written yet. Something about continually forgetting his login and stuff like that. But he will soon, and he can tell you himself how much you've all meant to him. He said that if anyone ever wonders how many people care for them, they should fall off a roof, because then you find out.

Thanks to all of you who have donated and sent kind words and care packages. You know that PO Box I provided? Well last week I finally stopped by there to pick everything up. And they were like, "Oh I'm so glad you came, your bill is 3 months overdue and we were about to send everything in your box back to the post office marked "return to sender'"

Wow, what a disaster that would have been. Seriously, I got there 10 minutes before the mail carrier was going to pick it up -- and the mail was already in the box to get picked up. So really it's kind of miraculous that I showed up in the nick of time (or irresponsible that I hadn't paid my bill and hadn't checked the box in so long, take your pick).

So again, thanks. I've always loved bsf's music and thought their fans were cool. Now, as much as I love their music, I love their fans even more. You are really such a great group of people.

Congratulations man.
How amazing.

What happened to that mp3 of never surrender?

Posted by: Anonymous at October 8, 2006 04:38 AM

Its really great to hear that, i hope his therapy involves playing guitar :).

Funny sidenote:
On friday night i went to a concert in a small bar (less then 50 people, 2 bands) and within that crowd there were 5 People wearing bsf shirts (not counting myself).

Appearantly there are many german bsf fans, so if you ever decide to not quit (oh please!) or come back, make sure you visit us :)

Yeah, the big one is back on his feet. Too sad, that there will be no shows with him in the future.... would have preferred josh@ deconstruction tour this year. :)

It's great to hear that Josh is doing so well. We were all scared for a while there.
And I think Josh should have a badass cane- he deserves nothing less.
Is there still going to be a Philly show??
We're hoping to hear from Josh soon- he's still in our thoughts even though he's out of the hospital.
Thanks again for keeping us updated and giving us the chance to be involved. BSF's music (and its creators) mean so much to us.

From Josh's Mom: just wanted to say a word about 2 of the most calm, brave, and determined people in the world: Joshua and Sunshine. Our whole family (and we are a BIG family) are very proud of them. Both of them have dealt with so much stress over the past 2 months. I am amazed at their consistent positive attitudes! What a blessing they are to us.

People have warned us that now is actually the hard time because Josh won't be getting the 24/7 wonderful care he received at Magee Hospital. And it can get discouraging having to work hard to get back what you used to have naturally.

So if you are praying people, please continue to pray for them. Josh still has lots of work ahead of him and there is still a lot of stress on both Joshua and Sunshine and the kids. You are all great people. I'm so appreciative of all the care you've shown Joshua.

Jason, thanks for the updates about Josh you wrote for us in the past two months! I'm sure the kindness we all know from Josh runs in the family haha. Take care!
