Update on Josh

Today marks some good news. As I write, Josh is being transferred to a spinal injury rehab hospital in Philadelphia. This will be very good for him and his recovery, as he's moving from the "just trying to keep him alive stage" to the "getting him back to normal" stage of the process. The sad thing is that he will have to work through a tremendous amount of pain while there.

They won't be able to predict how long he'll be there until they see him themselves, but this is the next step in a long trip back to normal health. Thanks again to all of you, it's been incredible. You've boosted Josh's spirits over and over.

And remember, if you want to donate something to Josh's fund, just click the button below and use paypal.

If you'd rather send a check (cash, euros, diamonds) or something like that. You can send it to me at

Josh Latshaw Donation Fund
c/o Artichoke Artisans
406 Suburban Dr #177
Newark Delaware 19711

And if you're going to see any of the European shows, you can also give the band or merch people donations too.

A couple jokes for Josh

1.) How many republicans does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, republicans fear change

2.) How many emo kids does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, apathy lives in the dark!

Get well soon, Josh!

Dear Josh,

what happened is so fucked up, but I'm so glad things are slowly getting better! I really hope you'll feel better soon..
Your brother said he reads all these comments to you in the hospital, so I really hope he reads this as well: you know how everybody has a favourite Ninja Turtle, well I had my favorite BSF and it was you! You were always so cool on stage, singing with us, the fans, who knew almost every word to almost every song.. (you know, not like Nathan, who keeps screaming it's about the PASSION and the MUSIC and only sings with the girls with the big tits ;) ..jk).

Anyway, you always took your time for us, on stage and after the show, and I really, REALLY appreciate that. You have no idea how much you guys inspired me, to fight for myself, and for others..
Josh.. now you have to fight to get your old life back again.. I know that if you can change the world like you did, you can get through this. I'd pray for you if I'd believe in that kind of thing, but now I'm just thinking about you and hoping that you will recover soon.. and I hope it will help as well. Take care man.

Love from Amsterdam,
Marijke.

While i'm listening to never surrender (btw i like the 2nd version much more) i just try to find some words for josh...i already couldn't write to you guys when the split was announced here (and i can't join the last concert in leipzig because of work) and then these bad news about the injury...
Just can say: My thoughts are with you and the most important thing now is to get well soon!
After this i just look forward to see the great josh we know again on stage, wheter with boysetsfire or not...
I also just can say THANK YOU for telling the fans the news here in the blog...i think all are very interested in GOOD news!

Don't know what to say....all my respect to you guys and all the best for you, josh!!!

....i can't find the words. Just found out about Josh and about you guys quiting...really should be online more often. Jesus Josh! I'm so glad you survived! But I sure hope you make it thruth this really dificulte time. i'll be thinking of you, and hopefully be able to read here how your doing. I will miss you during todays show in Holland.

For the whole band, I'm sure you have a good reason for quitting the band all together, but it makes me very sad to hear so. I hope will see all of you back in one way or the other, doing something with your great talent and principles. I'll be looking out for ya....

I have another light bulp-joke:

3)how many really cool emo-scensters does it take to change a light bulp?

One, he'll hold the bulp while the world spins around him.

Get well, man!

Hallo Josh,

My boyfriend Tim went to your show in Utrecht last night. I could not be there because I have exams right now and I really just have to concentrate on those. So it was pretty shitty that I could not be part of your last show. Tim called me to let me listen to 'My life in the knife trade' which was great. He also gave you an envelope with some money from us for Josh, hope it's any help. I could just cry right now thinking that I will probably never see you live again. I'll miss you. Thanks.

Your show in Utrecht was awesome! Thank you again, I loved it! I also called my brother when you played 'My life in the knife trade', because he was at home being sick.
Nathan, I was happy to talk to you after the show. I do hope you like the cd, but don't judge us by it, because the recordings suck :) If you want, you can listen to some more songs online on our website.

Lots of good luck with your last shows and Josh, I know you will be back soon!
