world cup fever
dear friends,
sorry for not being in touch for a while, but after out fun, but long US tour i took a little break from everything and did pretty much nothing else but watching the world cup 2006 and what can i tell you:
it's some of the most exciting football games (we don't call it soccer where i'm from...so don't even start) ever and especially seeing how well the German team is playing warms my heart and makes me happier than most things...my further predictions are that argentina, the netherlands, england and brasil will be doing really well leading up to a world cup winner Argentina (they better win, since i have a reasonable amount of euros on them...only germany winning would make me not care)...the great ted leo also posted his world cup predictions i saw the other day...check it out here:

other than that i've been listening to the new bouncing souls, idlewild, oasis and the usual intake of sir ryan adams and i just bought tickets to see him in july, so that should be a good excuse for a little binge...
i'm off to the pub now for a goodbye drink with my roomates and i see some of you fellow europeans for these dates...don't forget to come out and say hi!

I agree... Argentinia will win the world cup I guess. But germany is good as well... maybe they'll play against Argentinia in the final game.
But Brasil is disappointing me on this World Cup! And England!

Today, the Ghanians beat the Americans (thank God). The city where I am went up in a wild celebration. People were dancing around yelling to me "America, world power, Super power, what happened to you?!"
It was beautiful.

argantina look good for the cup this time, but got to admit germany are playing well and what about portugal as an outsider.
as for brazil, i dont fancy them they look a bit shabby, and ronaldo is so over weight at the moment (to slow)
as for englasnd ha! no chance, they just scraped past equador and were crap in the group games. (remember euro 2004) portugal will destroy england again !!!!
bring on the euro 2008 qualifiers, scotland to win over france and italy (emmm, ok prob not but i can dream)
