tour diary - london heathrow/bradford, UK (day off)
greetings young jedi nights!!!
so our european tour started on a fine note with a travel day flying into london heathrow (sometimes we feel like tom hanks "the terminal", stuck in this very airport for far too often/long...), having some fine english breakfast there and meeting up with our bus. since HIFH decided not to be part of the tour, we have this doubledecker all to ourselves for the english dates, which is nice in a way...it gives reverend rakus the chance to have daily prayer meetings and indoctrinate our humble selves with his divine thoughts.
...after loading our belongings onto the bus we rushed off to bradford, UK where we'll play tonight...and near the club a vegetarian indian restaurant manifested itself in front of our eyes, which made especially the vegetarian/vegan members of our little band extremly happy...after this unexpected healthy dinner we roamed bradford for a bit and played pool, got a tiny bit tipsy and fell into our bunks...oh yeah, me and chad finally watched "meeting people is easy" the radiohead movie, after talking about it for close to 4 years...what a great movie!
i have to say it feels really nice to have the whole bsf gang together again...gordon, the reverend chris rakus, gene and us band-dudes...we're all ready to be on tour and have fun after the 3 long years leading up to this record...to put it frank: we're stoked!!!
we're loading in soon, so i leave you with my best regards and hope you're well...
yours truly.

I wish you all good health and a great tour. Selfishly I can't wait until you hit my continent. The new album is excellent!

can't wait until friday the 24th! the third time i will see you guys and probably it will be the best time. 3 years ago i've seen you play the last song of your set (rookie) at "rock im park" because some of my friends were too slow with their ticket-fuck-thing.really, there were tears in my eyes. and i've came only for bsf (okay, and the deftones...) to the festival.
and last year at the southside festival.was a great show, but i was sick and under the influence of antibiotica and too much alc ( and it was sooo cold last juny).
so, just wanted to thank for another great emotional album and for your passion!!!!

some of my friends were too slow with their ticket-fuck-thing
am i the only one who has no idea what that is?

Bueno, y alguna posibilidad de que BSF vengan a España en la gira europea?
Posted by: nem at March 10, 2006 02:09 PM
Yeah--I am with you, Jase; I have no idea what that means, either! I hope you guys have an awesome tour, though! Europe sounds a lot more fun than Fargo, North Dakota, which is where I am at the moment...

I'm with you on that one, BSF on a jolly round bradford is possibly the most surreal thing i have ever read. Anyway, can't wait to see you guys this tuesday in Nottingham, let me know if you want a guide for the day, or someone to cook y'all some dinner!

Well, that was the second time in the three months I got to see you guys (in Bradford, UK). First time I saw you guys was in London in December at the Garage . I have to say that the crowd in Bradford kinda disappointed me. No one seemed to be getting into the vibe and Nathan had to dive into the crowd to give them all a lift! I thought that was shocking, but it did get better.
Anyway, I'm glad me (and my bro) got to meet the whole group. You were all polite and real, and I'm glad Rob got that shot he wanted (from the DVD)!!
All the best guys, and thanks fot the awesome show and album!!

Hey again..
Following the disappointing crowd at Bradford, the Manchester gig was how it should be. You guys did your thing as usual and it was awesome!!
Thanks again guys and hope the rest of your tour just gets better and better!
