ah man, you guys got busted.
Posted by: jason at April 3, 2006 12:27 AM
Snopes did, however, confirm that Bush does suck as a president. That's no urban legend, I looked it up.

Bush is the WORST president in history. I blame him for all that has happened in the last 5 years. There is NO reason gas should be 2.70 a gallon, where is the hurricane to blame it on this time?
Posted by: Jeremiah Floyd at April 3, 2006 12:59 PM
Gas should be $5 a galloon.
Posted by: jason at April 3, 2006 01:39 PM
Oil is the sole imperialistic motivation of the twentieth and twenty first century. Your correct in saying that there is no reason it should be 2.70 a gallon, the hurricane was an excuse to justify raising prices the first time, but the oil industry knows what they are doing. The outcry from the uninformed population was subdued in that manner, but really the gulf coast accounts for only a small fraction of the refineries and ports that import and manufacture oil into gasoline. Besides the majority of our oil is imported from non-middle eastern countries, so the war itself is no excuse. As we as a people adjusted to the increase, suddenly 2.40 seemed like a relief, when it had been 2.20 or so. In this way, we become conditioned to accept higher prices because they are always positioned between extremes.

wow, he's adout as smart as my dick.
Posted by: Anonymous at April 5, 2006 12:24 PM
adout?
Posted by: Anonymous at April 5, 2006 01:22 PM
I think that it should be $5-$7 per gallon, no joke. That is what a lot of the world pays for it. What makes us in America so special that gas should be cheap enough that we are never forced to carpool, walk, ride bikes, buy small, fuel efficient cars, invest in a real mass transit system, or devote any substantial effort to the development of alternate energy sources.
Oil is a limited resource and it WILL run out , the procurement of it causes wars and invasions, and the use of it ruins the environment. The fact that you can buy it for $2.70 per gallon is absurd.

you get milk from cows, which are friendly docile animals that live in friendly bucolic places like New Hamshire and Vermont. You squeeze their udders and milk comes out, completely renewable.
you get oil from deep below the surface in extremely cold or hot places, using expensive pumps to suck it from 100s of feet down, traveling to dangerous areas of the world, risking your lives to drain the last bit of this non-renewable liquid.
you tell me which should cost more.
milk does.
that's not right.
Posted by: jason at April 6, 2006 03:06 PM
If George Bush finds out about this, Vermont better watch out or they will be invaded next.

I believe this may be a more accurate portrayal of our fearless leader . . .

Another Bush quote to laugh at:
"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a — you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities." —President Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004

P.S.
I'll NEVER be ashamed to be an American...only ashamed if I do not standup for the rights given to me as an American...
Posted by: Dismalqueen at April 25, 2006 11:43 AM
I will never be ashamed to be American, perhaps ashamed of my fellow Americans, even out president, who indeed lacks in mental capacity.
and this ridiculous comments about how gas should be more expensive? wtf? I think not. yeah oil maybe harder to obtain than milk from the teet of a cow, but it is also obtained in greater quantities... Imagine that.
However, I am in a movement for Hybrid.
