guys so sorry we haven't been writing
but we have been so busy and without the internet. oh yeh, the pain goes deep.
so i write you from the great nation of belgium which has long been a favorite place of ours to play. the people are nice, the food is good, shows generally insane because belgium is the capital of european metal. it it true, ask anyone.
it was truly sad to say goodbye to england. england we love your shores and love your people, uh if only you were a little cheaper!
goodbye to all we met, hopefully we will see each other soon and hopefully under warmer climates. it has been mad cold up in this piece. i am talking freezing like a mug. colder than bat country. which actually leads to a funny story....
we played at the mean fiddler on saturday night. we love london, always have, prolly always will. but we were met with a disturbing site when we got to the venue, about a thousand hot topic kids in eyeliner and mesh things.
Wot is this then?
they rushed to the bus screaming, pounding on the door. our intrepid tour manager opened the door (as you know a philly kid is always ready for a fight) the crowd immediatley hushes in the finest needle off the record tradition.
Uh sorry to bother you....
yeh?
Really dont mean to be a bother...
but are you guys in Avenged Seven Fold?
no.
oh sorry then.
oh great the biggest band on the planet are playing upstairs from us. the ones with the american flag backdrops and the prowar views. the ones who brag about doing the most coke and the most whores.
joy.
hope someone comes to our little show in the downstairs venue.
the chirren looked so sad when they realized that we were just another band and not the second coming of guns and roses.
so london actually was awesome the place was packed and they seemed receptivce to the new songs and we had a blast playing. london was great as london always is.
later that night we tried to go to a bar/late night eatery to spend some time dave our booking agent. the krobar was packed, sold out. we spoke to the doorman who informed us it was sold out noone can come in.
wait hold on... he said, grabbing my sleeve.
are you guys avenged seven fold?
no.
then never mind.
just our luck. we had to go to an eighties metal club.
c ya all soon!

I live in the states (Pennsylvania), and I have to ask: Wtf is "Avenged Sevenfold"?
Sounds like the name a bunch of screaming rednecks slap on thier jug band and write songs like "Super murder" and "Slain in the Rain".
Posted by: Rob at March 16, 2006 04:04 PM
hey guys, i work at an indiependant record store in ft. lauderdale, florida... we got notes from the plague years in as a promo and it is fucking amazing... i can't wait to see you at ray's downtown. i am really impressed with this cd, and it blows all expectations out of the water. you never cease to amaze me. thank you for this album.

Posted by: heaven at March 17, 2006 05:48 AM
i found my self shoppin the other week, i saw a copy of kerrang...on the front was of course "avenged" boasting how they have people wanting them dead and how they are so incredibly hard...i have always loved boy sets fire, so natural and normal...like us :D i cant stop listening to the lastist album, you have done yourself and us fans proud.
as for the having the little "metlers" knocking at the bus doors, thats just funny. shoulda given them the finger. your music inspires
all the best to fellow fans. be rocking with you soon, turn away from avenged :D

Yip Guys,
Thanks for the amazing show in Belguim.
I was it worth to come from the french border wich is 300km from hasselt. The new stuff sounds great, I love the jazzy-part of the show :-)
See you soon at Pukkelpop or reading!
ps. Take care off Tribute to nothing.

I read an interview with M.Shadows in Metal Hammer,(the one with A7X on the cover looking like they just stepped out of sin city) and he was very pro-war, pro-bush and came across as extremely homophobic. Read it and prepared to hate yourself for ever supporting such a biggot.
Its attitudes like that that make the rest of the world hate americans so much...

I too saw you guys rock Exeter Uni on the sunday and it was a very very good show. I would really like to thank you for saving that poor guys ass from getting kicked out just for crowdsurfing! (A guy was crowdsurfing and was being led out the firedoors by the 2 bouncers and BSF stopped in the middle of a song to stop him from getting kicked out). Amazing! I got Nathens sweat towel! Stinks so bad heh. I will see you guys in the UK next time your down!! Steveo

avanged sevenfold?
who is it?(am i living under a rock or are they not know outside of dover)They sound not worth knowing.
I loved the show in Hasselt. I hoped for more speeches actually. The show convinced me that the new album is better than the last one which is great because the last one was one of my personal favorits. Ow yeah..it's cool to end the show with after the eugoly but why Jay-z?

Josh,
It's a shame that the same band who encourages unity despite differences has to stoop to belittling another band because of politcal leanings. If, in fact, they are truly the second coming of Guns And Roses, as you say they are, then that is up to their style and genre. It's not even something worth mentioning. It's like saying that someone is "different". Just quit that shit, you sound like an asshole. I've seen Avenged Sevenfold live, they owned the night, the town, the whole fucking country. As I've never seen Boysetsfire, I am still a fan. I would think you, of all people, could understand being a fan of someone's music despite difference of opinion, as I am with you and A7X. If you know anything about hardcore metal, you would know that you are basically the general genre. Music is a form of expression, where anyone can say just about anything. Why sit on your site and whine like a crybaby pussy about what Avenged Sevenfold says, while you express your views in the very same fashion? So what if they sport an American flag? Ooh, you've really got them painted in a corner there. What next, congress might pass a law saying that you can say what you want how you want? They might even give it a catchy title like "Freedom of Speech and Expression". Heck, maybe one day it might even go into the Constitution. But what am I saying? In order to listen to Avenged Sevenfold, I have to agree with them 100% about everything they say and do, just like when I listen to you. Dumbass. Eat shit, you elitist prick.

Hey BSF, thanks for the great Amsterdam-show yesterday! It was great seeing you guys play again. The new stuff rocks, I LOVE Falling Out Theme! I still wished to hear In Hope though, but I have been watching it over and over on your DVD. I tried yelling Swingset too, as the last times you were in Amsterdam (remember?), but alas..
Anyway, hope to see you back soon. I'm looking forward to it! And you don't look like Avenged Sevenfold at all! Maybe it's because you're all American...
And Matt, I hope you enjoy the .outofreach. button :)

@Soneji
"you can say what you want how you want?"
yes evryone can say what he wants, but the others can have their opinion about that, and if you and avenged sevenfold like these wars and the actual politics josh and the others here have their opinion about that..and they can say that you understand??
not every band that do that kind of music have this opinion...your genre means: "pro-war metal hardcore" or what? so lame man, and your indignities are a shame for you...
sorry for my bad english
Posted by: Heaven at March 18, 2006 07:59 AM
soneji--
your post is ironic, you rail about respecting differences of opinion and free speech while you attack josh for not liking that a band brags about being pro-war, pro-bush, and into snorting and whoring. certainly josh should be allowed to have that opinion, right?
plus, you have a serious humor detector problem, because most of his post was written to be funny. (second coming of guns n roses is a funny line. . . )
in other words lighten up. and try not to attack people for not respecting different opinions because they have an opinion different than your opinion.
ps. you have the same name as a scary serial killer in the alex cross novels.
Posted by: bob at March 18, 2006 09:28 AM
is there a crybaby in the house
Posted by: Dan Perrone at March 18, 2006 02:33 PM
It looks like the dumbass detectives have once again smelled the irony. No shit, you morons. The very reason I attacked Josh's rampage against Avenged Sevenfold was the fact that he was attacking freedom of speech, with freedom of speech, not because I agreed with either of the bands' politics. And where the hell did I say I was pro-war? Whoops, I guess your argument is a lame heap of shit after all. Don't put words into my mouth just because you have nothing left to say. No one gives a shit if you cuss, especially me. And no, it doesn't make it an "indignity" or whatever the hell you're trying to say. The real fact is that it pisses off a band who is politically charged to the left when another band is politically charged to the right, not because they do drugs or whores. By the way, four out of five of the band members from A7X have girlfriends, you jackasses. If A7X was doing drugs and whores, but was a liberal band, Boysetsfire wouldn't have a complaint in the world, which is a complete bullshit way to look at things. And where did I say that I respected other opinions? I don't give a shit if you think you're right. And no, I don't have a "humor detector problem". He was trying to be funny, and he wasn't. But my bullshit detector is working just fine, thank you. One more time, assholes. If Josh is going to attack A7X for being conservative (which doesn't even constitute pro-war or pro-Bush) I'm going to attack Josh for being a dumbass. I have the same name as a serial killer in an Alex Cross book?! Oh my gosh, all this time! Where have I been in the world? Idiot.

@ Dan perron
It's strange to see how you try to let people shut up with your "freedom of speech". You're telling that josh shouldn't say he dislike a7X because that is totally against freedom of speech. I actually think it is more freedom of speech to let him speek out.
and if you're american and conservertif...I pritty mush think a lot(and i mean a lot) of people in this world blames you for a lot of things..think about that for a change

Dude, I had such a similar experience.
I am in a rock band, an awesome, indie, DIY, grass roots, progressive, ground breaking rock band.
Well anyway, we had this sweet show lined up at some rock club in Philly, the northern star or something like that. Whatever.
Well we showed up in our mom's minny fan, equipment stuffed in the back and all riding on eachothers laps (we keep it real), and loaded in with all our acoustic guitars and 2x12 fender amps.
Well, we're there setting up, getting ready to "rock the casa" when some wierd other band showed up. They pulled up in a van, their own tour van, with a trailer. Yes you heard me right, they had a trailer for their equipment.
We were like "who are you?"
and they were like "we're the post hardcore kings, Boysetsfire."
and we were like "Oh great, the biggest ska band in the world is playing in the same club as us! on the same stage as us. Joy. I hope somebody shows up early enough to hear us yodel with our acoustic guitars."
I feel your pain Josh, it totally sucks.
Posted by: Voltron at March 19, 2006 07:44 PM
hey dan perrone. I made a mistake i thought that on this board the name of the messaner came first and than, after that, the message. So my little statement is ment for someone else than you (the person that posted after you). I am sorry if I offended you.
Posted by: Anonymous at March 20, 2006 01:36 AM
its funny people write "prowar" (="probush") and "freedom of speech" in one sentence. its like .. britney spears doing metalcore. *scream* I'M A SLAAAAVE FOR YOU!!
Posted by: johannes at March 20, 2006 05:57 AM
Hey Simon (and anyone else who wants to include themselves),
Learn to spell and make sense. Then we'll talk. English is a language worth learning. Don't worry, Josh. Consider me over it as well.

Posted by: Disappointed Danny at March 20, 2006 04:08 PM
If you are so over it, then why bother posting again to let us all know? Dick.
And if you havent noticed, there are quite a lot of people who post here who are not from english-speaking countries. I doubt you would have such a grasp of say, German, now would you?
Posted by: Anonymous at March 21, 2006 12:57 AM
Hey Anonymous Dick,
Why post something and then get pissed that other people post? You're supposed to retort the content of what people post, not the fact that they post. Moron. What sense does that even make? If someone wants to start shit with me, they should first know how to speak correctly. Or is that too much I.Q. power being employed for you sheep-to-slaughter douches? If I feel like posting something on an OPEN FORUM about what BSF is saying, I can do so, because obviously I have. Also, if I feel like giving my stance on the situation, I'll do the same. Eat matches, drink gasoline, fuck off.
P.S. Sorry Danny.
-Soneji
Posted by: Soneji at March 21, 2006 09:34 AM
umm... I think, if you actually read my post... that i did in fact address both of the issues you raised in your short but oh so sweet message - the fact that you said you were over it (which you so obviously aren't) and the fact that you were attacking the grammer of people who have the intelligence and cultural sensitivity to learn a second language, when my guess is instead of trying to do the same, you are satisfied in your own ignorant world abusing those who actually make the effort.
I love how inconsistent your arguments are as well... first you attack josh for expressing his opinions on A7X and now your saying that it is an open forum so therefore YOU have the right to say whatever YOU like. How is offering YOUR stance on a situation any different than Josh offering an opinion on something else? At least he doesnt post angry rants attacking your views...
Think about that, MORON!
Posted by: Anonymous at March 21, 2006 11:04 AM
I think the lesson here is, to misquote Ghostbusters, when someone asks you if you're in Avenged Sevenfold you say yes.
Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 11:45 AM
Great show in Belgium!!Been to your previous shows (groezrock,'t lintfabriek) and i'll be on your next show in Belgium again. People went crazy and the music was just fantastic[("where the air is hot and the music is loud, my kind of place this is my kind of crowd" - Bouncing Souls)]! Hope to see BSF again this year in upcomming shows or events. BSF Rules
Posted by: Mr. Anti-Social at March 28, 2006 03:24 PM
Last time, dumbass, just so your IQ might go up a few points. When I post my opinion on an American forum, my point isn't to make a multi-cultural effort, okay granola breath? That's the first thing. Secondly, the point that I made wasn't against the story Josh posted (you would know that if actually read the words) but rather the fact that he's attacking a band for being politically right while his band is politcally left. What don't you dipshits get about this? It's not hard. I know it's a lot to grasp for you Liberal Arts hopefuls and various other psuedo-intellectuals who still can't spell, but really, come on, let's not spend our life clearing tables at McDonald's. One more time. I know it's a lot of dumbass for you to choke down in one sitting, but hey, someone has to do it. You say my argument is inconsistent, but funny how I've repeated the same argument verbatim every time you shit dicks whined and complained about not being able to pull your thumbs from your asses and understand what I was saying. I know the burden of logic is a difficult one for you. But I'll spoon-feed it to you. If a band is caustically politically (as is Boysetsfire) and they point the finger at a mildy politically band solely because of their politics (not including other merits, like drug use), we call them a hypocrite. Why? Because they use doublespeak shit terms like "unity, tolerance, diversity, understanding" when in fact they prove they're just as bigoted as the next piece of shit. They just know how to hide it in fluffy terms and point it in different directions. Enough of you assholes. Please. Does anyone else want an ass stomping? I'm hanging up the gun. Figure it out for yourselves.
Posted by: Soneji at March 28, 2006 04:13 PM
um, here's what you don't understand.
political bands on the left attack people with politics on the right. that's what they do. that's why you make no sense.
that's like saying that chavez is a hypocrite for criticizing bush's foreign policy because chavez is on the left.
bsf never talks about unity and tolerance of things they hate.
anyway, your arguments are so bad that I suspect you're sock-puppeting this site and you know you're being stupid, so ok have fun.
Posted by: duh at March 28, 2006 09:38 PM

Posted by: James at March 31, 2006 08:25 AM
why dont you say anything about the gig in Paris ;), a big compliment for you, you had given anything and it was very funny, even with a standing crowd!
Posted by: wisch at April 4, 2006 10:22 AM
If bands on the left attack bands on the right, wouldn't it mean that if I was on the right (assuming that I am, which most of you morons have) I would attack the left? Oh sorry, dumbass, I wasn't trying to ruin your party. Hey, after you posted this and then masturbated with self-satisfaction, did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, you were full of shit? Hypocrisy doesn't come from merely having a different belief or by criticizing a different belief, but by being a doublespeak jackass. See, if Boysetsfire is using the same type of microphones, instruments, soundboards, lights, computers, technicians, producers, funding, and retailing marketing to get their leftist point of view across as Avenged Sevenfold does to get their right view across, doesn't that constitute a hypocrite if they're then caught bitching about A7X's ability to do so? What most of you shit cocks fail to mention is that Avenged Sevenfold isn't even a political band. It's only in interviews than they're revealed they're not far-left like most of this scene. Then we have you follow-the-leader dumbasses who take everything Boysetsfire and Anti-Flag take as gospel and will be damned if you listen to band with a differing opinion. (Seeing as not all of A7X are conservative, while Sinister Gates supports abortion, whereas all of Boysetsfire are liberals). Sure, go on and on sifting through coal and eating shit diamonds all about how Boysetsfire supports unity and tolerance. But you ignore the convinient fact that they only do so when it fits their bullshit agenda pushing. You even said so when you mentioned "bsf never talks about unity and tolerance of things they hate". Really? No shit, dumbass. I'd like to see them take up real issues like the slavery of Christians in the Sudan by Muslims, or the vilification of the Catholic church, or the rapings and murders of heterosexual boys by their homosexual neighbors. Ah, don't let that stop them. They have warm weather and a shrinking rainforest to save. I guess no one expected that kind of ass-stomping rebuttal. Oh well.
Posted by: Soneji at April 7, 2006 08:31 AM

Hey Sevenfold fans, specifically "WISCH", conservatism doesnt belong in this kind of music. Sorry. Rebellion is kind of hard to achieve when you control the house, senate and presidency.
Oh. And "I'd like to see them take up real issues like the slavery of Christians in the Sudan by Muslims, or the vilification of the Catholic church, or the rapings and murders of heterosexual boys by their homosexual neighbors."
Yeah. Rape? Catholic Church? Little boys? Need I say more? And vilification of the church? Are you kidding? They ALSO control the house, senate and presidency. Hell, even my favorite senate and house members are pandering to them. Gay marriage is being banned and abortion is illegal in south dakota... THEY'RE WINNING.
Last - Rape is rape, no mater WHAT sexuality is involved.
