she cries 'its freedom that we need'
but I have yet to see a cause to believe
(I need to feel it, please just let me feel all right)
It comes in waves of need
Ten ways to make you bleed before you get to die

Can we give it one more shot?
Have we thrown all hope away ?
Does it have to be this painful just to make it through the day ?

This is not our requiem
We're wasting time as victims
Why spend our lives on bended knee, choosing not to be free

He sighs 'I'm quickly burnin out'
all thats left of me are jaded memories
(I need to feel it, please just let me feel all right)
of what I could have been if I had only been less of what they wanted

And we're still here
All together, and all alone
consumed with fear that one day we'll discover how empty we've become
sickened and ashamed
we crave what they provide us, so we'll never feel alone

Posted by: D K at January 19, 2006 07:08 PM

u are gods!!, but fuck tour in Canada sometime! this song is beyond anything i have ever heard from other bands ( i want paper )

Posted by: Brett at January 19, 2006 09:15 PM

My "version":

Huh!

She cries 'It's freedom that we need, but I have yet to see, a cause to believe!'
( I need to feel it, please just let me feel all right... )
It comes in waves of need,
Ten ways to make you bleed before you get to die.

-- chorus --
Can we give it one more shot?
Have we thrown all hope away?
Does it have to be this painful just to make it through?
This is not, our requiem!
We're wasting times as victims!
Why spend our lives, on bending knee, choosing not to be free?

He sighs 'I'm quickly burning out, all thats left of me, are jaded memories!'
( I need to feel it, please just let me feel all right... )
Of what I could have been,
If i had only been, less of what they wanted!

-- chorus --

We're still here, all together and all alone!
Consumed with fear, that one day we'll discover,
How empty we've become.
Sickened and ashamed!
We crave what they provide us,
So we'll never feel alone...

-- chorus --

Nathan and all of BSF, I need to let you know that this new record is INCREDIBLE. Yes I downloaded it, but I intend to buy it from you guys when I see you live. Its by far quiet the redemption in my eyes for the last record that I never really liked and its seriously a REALLY good record. I look forward to seeing you guys this spring in cleveland ohio. Maybe we can get you guys to come back to Erie, PA like back in 97? Take care guys and best of luck with everything!!!

Posted by: Jack at January 26, 2006 08:54 AM

Sounds like a single to me... :)

Posted by: Luminus at January 30, 2006 10:15 PM

Song is great but i would like some harder songs again. The new songs you released on the net don't have this "straight to your face" like "after the eulogy" and other songs on your last two albums had.
They sound too gentle. Often it sounds as if the guitar's just shredding those gentle chords and the bass is playin a nice line. But i'd like to hear some harder guitar parts.. yeah!
But you are fuckin' great!

That song rock, you should do more of those kinds of songs.
