done.

dear diary,

it's hard to put in words how these last couple of days felt...we finally finished this album und it's safe to say that (at least as far as i'm concerned) it was the hardest project i ever worked on in my life (musically speaking and beyond)...
3 years down the road and here it is: THE MISERY INDEX: NOTES FROM THE PLAGUE YEARS
...and if there's a more fitting record title out there (i strongly doubt it)is questionable at best.
it wasn't easy and only god and 4 other dudes know how hard it really was to create this record, but when we all sat in matt's car the other day, listening to the final master, i have to admit it was well worth it...

even though i would probably not be able to go through all of it again...not just yet anyways.

but i have to admit, that these songs & interludes capture the essence of us as people, musicians and spirit souls to an extent that is frightning and cannot be lessened by any recordsalesnumber or coverstory (or lack of it)...the fact that this record will hit the streets wolrdwide next year is in itself a huge middlefinger to the music business and the evil mantra of "this is how it's usually done".

i don't think i've ever been as proud of anything i was part of...

so now we all have a couple of days off, before we start practicing for our promo-tour in europe in december...there'll be some nice suprises at these small shows in 4 european cities, so if you have a chance come by and hang out...

i personally am missing the bouncing souls play tonight in NYC, which is kind of sad, but i wanted to rest a little more and get rid of a post-tour-cold, the nice albany rainstorm brought forth...i'll be spending some time in an ashram before we start making noise again, so all i have left to say here is thank you to everyone who stood by me, making this record possible...most and foremost my family and my band!

look out for tons of shows in the new year and check out the re-issues if you haven't yet.

thank you for stopping by here at our humble web-headquarters and be safe.

Hello,
I just can wait to buy your new record and to see you live in Germany. This year, I saw you 2 times: At the deconstruction tour in Trier and on the Southside Festival. Both were amazing concerts, although you didn´t play my favorite song: The Abominations of...! So, maybeI´ll see you again in Cologne or maybe you´ll play at Rock am Ring next year?!
Thank you for your Music!
Take care!

Hi

You guys are amazing. I have listened to you guys since I was in the 8th grade and I'm now in college. I have all of your CDs and I just wanted to say thanks. I've listened to them hundreds of times over and I just wanted to say that you guys are my favorite band and I find it pretty cool that my thoughts are actually being played out by you guys. There is just one thing I have never got to see your show. I had mono the last time you came around, so maybe if you guys could make a stop around Louisville, KY or some place within a couple of hours it would be awesome and I would be there. I'd like to hear from you guys sometime. On another note The Power Remains the Same is seriously one of the best songs ever made, you should be proud of that.
Your old fan,
Mike

Yeah, you've been my favorite band for a while, too. The only thing I'll ever ask of you besides keeping on rocking is do a tour in Canada, preferably Manitoba.

Robert ist nicht das einzige, das die deutschen Kommentare liest. Sie sind alle so interessante.

Posted by: Voltron at November 27, 2005 11:33 AM

well, i still think that everyone on this site should write in english language. i mean, we sometimes don't talk just to the band, but to each other, too, and sometimes we have rather good discussions, so i think it is better if everyone unterstands what the others write.
i'm from germany, too, but i think if i post my opinions on the homepage of an american band, it's better to write them in english so everyone can understand it.

dear friends.

be sure i try to read all of your comments/ideas & thoughts...be it in english and/or german...

it's nice to read german once in a while...keeps things interesting.

thank you all for your interest.

peace

Hey guys, kickass news on the album, you all deserve big congrats, and I'm so glad you pulled through, when at times it didn't seem to be looking too good.

If the demos here on the site are anything to go by, Plauge Years will be even better than ATE or TCT combined! Big kudos, and long may it continue.
Peace,

>Ben
PS: Is your Euro tour gonna include a London date?

Posted by: Ben at November 28, 2005 03:30 PM

yes mr ben...indeed it will!

hey guys. you are my favorite bands and my friends are slowly becoming fans too. i guys have been an inspiration to me, someone who is called "emo" at least twice a day. i just come home, listen to The Day The Sun Went Out, and im all better. 2 questions. 1: when is The Misery Index: Notes From the Plauge Years being released in the US? 2: when is the next time you are coming to boston? i need a weekend show because my parents are over-cautious/slightly sadistic. hope to god i see you soon

Posted by: Henry at November 29, 2005 05:58 PM

you guys really do need to come to Philly more, i had to drive almot an hour to see you in Lancaster, although it was well worth it, It would be awesome if you guys could play the Troc or the Electric Factory even.

by the way im getting an In Hope tattoo on my back in about two weeks and ive been waiting for this moment for so long now.

Hi Rob,
it`s a long time ago that we`have seen each other. Now I`m working here in China and missing all the music scene back home. Would be nice to here anything from you.
By the way, check out the side www.merkedirmalm.de. Some friends back home in Wuerzbuurch. Maybe you know them already. I think they`re creating an intresting sound.
Good luck with your new record!

Like others who have posted, i just wanted to say thank you. A friend of mine bought after the eulogy years and years ago, and ever since then i've been hooked. To this day you guys are still my favorite band. There really aren't that many bands that stand out like you guys do. Good luck with everything.

I guess the reason my question went unanswered is because you aren't doing a tour in Canada? Don't like the cold?
