NEW EXCLUSIVE FREE DOWNLOAD (VIDEO & AUDIO)

we just posted a brandnew exclusive song in the SIREN section. just like the other two songs on there this song is absolutely free, so pls check it out and we hope you like it. it's another song that didn't make the cut.

but it gets better!!!!!: our friends Jason & Collin did a DIY video for the song, which came out awesome...you can see the video in SIREN as well. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL NEW BSF VIDEO from our upcoming album, but something worth seeing regardless...

"dear george" was also written in the period over the last 2 years and we really hoped for it to be non-relevant after the election 2004, but oh well, it still is and that's why we decided to share it with y'all...

obviously the video is strongly connected to the content of the song (hence the title).

pls make sure to watch the little visual for it. a big thank you to jason and collin for all their hard work on it...we truly appreciate it.

good stuff, I expected it to be a blistering diatribe. I was both surprised and I guess a little disappointed (see first sentence lol).

couldn't get the video to play with the rtsp streaming with quicktime. bummer.

Wow, just wow. This song is amazing, you guys never fail to amaze me. I look forward to any other unreleased songs you guys are willing to share with us (please do!), as well as seeing you guys hopefully soon and definately look forward to the new album!

I tried my best at the lyrics, hopefully to help some of the others here that are struggling with them. There's a few spots I'm unsure of, so take these with a grain of salt. Please post any corrections you find, as I'm really stuck in a few spots. Might I add, these are beautiful lyrics; a very well written song all-around. Thanks again BSF, I love you guys. Here we go:

Not enough to say you're sorry
It's not enough to say you care
The flowers that you sent were lovely
But they won't take crude anywhere

Why I didn't learn the first time
Not to ask you back around
All my friends think that I'm crazy
Not to chase you out of town

Waiting for something more than what you gave
I hit the floor, behind closed doors
Life with you is torture

I remember the day that I first met you
I took the lion's share of doubt
You held all of the tide above me
I think you needed bailing out

Waiting for something more than what you gave
I hit the floor, behind closed doors
Life with you is torture

Sometimes I know you feel you've been let down
It's not the same without your friends around
And it must be hard to look around my place
When you can't find what you're looking for
Cause they're not here anymore
As if you didn't know…

Did you learn this from your father?
Did your family pass it down?
Cause now you got me cursing Islam
Among religion's sacred ground

Waiting for something more than what you gave
I hit the floor, behind closed doors
Life with you is torture
Hell Yeah!

I have a couple of corrections to suggest:

Not enough to say you're sorry
It's not enough to say you care
The flowers that you sent were lovely
But they won't [take root] anywhere

I remember the day that I first met you
I took the lion's share of doubt
You held [all others] above me
[Until] you needed bailing out

Did you learn this from your father?
Did your family pass it down?
Cause now you got me cursing Islam
[On my] religion's sacred ground

Thanks Jason, those are the sections I wasn't sure about. "But they won't take crude anywhere" didn't sound right but I couldn't tell for sure, so I was just making a link between plant decay and oil. "But they won't take root anywhere" makes much more sense and is easily distinguishable now.
The third line in the third verse should be "You held all others high above me" I believe. After that everything sounds correct. Thanks again Jason.

jason...one of your corrections forgot the word high

"I remember the day that I first met you
I took the lion's share of doubt
You held [all others] above me
[Until] you needed bailing out"

should be "all others high above me"

I just saw you guys at starland. i had never listened to you before. and i realy liked what i heard. you performed well and interacted with your audience. i am a 27 year old musician, and love to hear people express themselves through the art of music. BUT..on the other hand, a group of my younger friends were very exited to see you play, especialy when they found that they were playing a show with you guys. "Years spent cold" was more hurt than anything else when they heard the load bullshit that came out of your mouth. as many fans as you think you might have gained, you have now lost. i talked to steve (drummer for YSC) the night of your little tantrum, and he was more hurt than he was angry. they looked up to you guys, as all of the 52 people did that came that night to see the both of you play. i am not a big fan of violence myself, but when it comes down to it, what you did that night was wrong. if you had a problem with the way they expressed themselves in their music, you should have been a real man, and went up to them and told them how you feel. saying what you did on stage mad you look lesser of a man. for example.. why do you think people call their favorite radio station to admit that they are cheating of their boyfriend/girlfriend? because they feel better telling thousands of listeners over the air. they're body is too distant from their soul to tell them to their face. you HAD to try to get everyone on your side that night because deep inside, you are afraid, weak, and vulnerable. which is fine with me. alot of good people are. but for you to say a couple of lines to a shitload of young listeners, was wrong. no shit they're going to listen to you, you have a microphone and a band to back you up. you all almost had ME going! now please DO NOT GET ME WRONG... i was the guy sitting right at the end of the counter by the exit in the bar area when you were holding everyone back from going out side. you looked right at me, and i shook my head in disapontment. "Years spent cold" is only having a good time, just as you are. as someone they looked up to, you should have came to them in private gave then some musical advice. you are 33 years old man! give the kids somebody to look up too before you're just some old guy trying to play music. unfortunatly, that happens to us all! again, i like your music, you all seem to be a great group of guys. but im sure you could have handled the November 12th night at Starland Ballroom alittle better.
