Studio Journal 09/16/05

dear diary,
it's the 16th which is an exciting day due to mr chad istvan's 24th birthday (that's such a lie, but the young man is too handsome and younglooking to pay any attention to his actual age...)

me, chad and nathan hang out in the "r.r. memorial studio" in josh's basement and the record gets closer and closer to being done...only some more overdubs and noises and vocals and that's it...

i even got to scream, whine and mumble a couple of additional parts today, which was fun. it really is the best part about making a record, the little things you ad towards the very end...in my opinion anyways.

the record deals with EVR and BH are signed and everything is going great...
the draft (new hot water music) are staying at my house tonight so i better rush home and grill some corn for the whole floridian crew...robert

Happy belated birthday to Chad from a Londoner (UK) eager to hear the new album. Can't wait for it to come out, i bet its gonna fucking rock, SO looking forward to it. Its great to see you still going strong after hearing this week that another band i absolutely love and admire are to split at the end of this month after finishing the current tour. I hope it never comes to that with you guys, i think you write fantastic music, that means so much to me and many others. I remember hearing the song After The Eulogy a few years ago, and it took me a while to realise i needed to go out and buy more of your stuff, and i waited so long to see you guys (having missed you at Reading Festival 03), but this year i was so lucky. When i saw you guys play London on the Deconstruction tour in May.....well i was a happy chap that day, it was fantastic. Even got a set-list which i cherish to this day. Anyway enough arse-kissing, thanks guys, keep up the good work. Once again happy belated birthday to Chad, hope you had a good one.

chad's birthday is always a good time. i remember last year we took chad out to a little bar in elkton and he was telling me that if he didn't have a birthday party well he was going to throw himself one, darn it!. well long story short we got to his house and about 40 of his closest friends. it was a blast and i got to see a cop do a keg stand. oh yeah..josh
